Raised in Real Estate and Construction
When I was growing up, my family moved often for my dad's career. He was an executive with large commercial construction companies and we lived in 7 cities in 4 states in 13 years. It was a family adventure that helped us eventually plant our roots in Houston.
These moves also gave me a deeper understanding of what it means to change cities, communities, friends and jobs.
Moves happen at some of the most important and emotional times of our lives: new job, marriage, expanding families, and downsizing. Every stage has meaning and importance.
Career Experience in Marketing and Communication
For more than 30 years, my career was focused on leadership roles in communications and marketing for some of the nation's top healthcare and higher education organizations: M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Ascension Seton, and The University of Texas at Austin. I also worked for a Houston-based commercial general contractor and a high-tech consulting firm.
For each of those organizations, I created award-winning internal and external programs-print and digital-that supported strategic communications and marketing programs that expanded their brands, and I helped them acquire new patients, clients and students.
In 2022, I moved into real estate and joined Coldwell Banker Realty. It's been a natural transition.
My decades of experience with contract negotiation, design, photography, and electronic and print direct mail translate seamlessly to helping people buy and sell homes.
The Power of Home Ownership
I understand how to present a message-the power of homeownership-to a variety of audiences, whether I am on the "sell side" or the "buy side."
I work with sellers who have been in their homes a short time or a lifetime, first-time buyers, and investors.
With each transaction, I bring deep knowledge of markets and how to appeal to various segments of the market, whether that be by generation, by type of home (single family, condominium, or multi-acre properties), and by familiarity with central Texas (deep local familiarity, new to Austin, new to Texas).
I use the best tools available, including photography and videography, websites, email marketing and print material.
And I always negotiate in the best interests of my client.
I bought my first home at the age of 30 in Wells Branch in north Austin. In the next 10 years, I bought and sold four homes in Austin's best and weakest markets in north, central and south Austin. I also own residential investment property in Fredericksburg.
Each of my transactions was different-different reasons for selling or buying, different neighborhoods, different financial environments.
I've walked your walk. It's hard, it's challenging, and it's also a lot of fun!
I help buyers and sellers across Central Texas: from Georgetown to Dripping Springs and Lakeway to East Austin. I don't restrict the neighborhoods I work in because my clients love all parts of this region and focus on different areas based on their current interest and lifestyles.
